Highland Park IB Physics Music Video- Wednesday afternoon is the new Friday night!

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON:
Hold up, let me see if I can remember
How we got this point from where we started in September.
Cause it seems so long ago, but we’re not that far away
From where we started, IB Physics, if you’re still with me say ‘Hey’

Started the year slow, moving in one dimension
But breaking into vectors seemed to gather some attention
Dropping beats, dropping things, big 4, off the link
What’s up g, it’s gravity, now we’ve got to start to think

I know, you’re smart,
You showed me your x-y chart
And we’ll take it step by step, variables and then equation
Keeping track of sig-digs as you do your calculations

And mistakes are okay if you don’t understand
At first, it could be worse, but hey, we’ve got a back up plan
Middle of the week, gather round, grab a seat
And we’ll help each other figure this out, together.

Take a stab at Newton’s Laws,
Once again you’re dropping jaws
When you enunciate the finer points of physics as you demonstrate
You don’t quite know the outcome, but I don’t see you hesitate

To snatch up dollar bills, and nothing spills
Try to click the stopwatch as you’re sledding down the hill
And the bigger things are then the harder they fall
But that ain’t going to change their velocity at all

Good start, stay strong,
Don’t stop, the game is on
You’re doing great so keep up your motivation
And never forget that your mom. needs conservation

You got me all hyped up and full of energy
Excited about the potential of who you’re going to be
And who you are and who you were and how you’ve grown and what you’ve learned
And how we’re all just figuring this out – together

It’s IB, so we do IA’s, D-C-P,
Where there’s a will then there’s a way
To turn your mess of data into a straight line
Try inverting x, or maybe square root y

And then we’re moving on to SHO’s
Then to study waves you’ve just transfer all you’ve come to know
From period to frequency, but now pipes resonate inside
And everything sounds weird when I breathe sulfur hexafluoride

We go through thick and thin but if we’re going too fast
Then plan to come on Wednesday after class
And if you think because 4th quarter’s here that you can be all lazy
Then I dare you to show up and see a whole new kind of crazy

Cause we’re packing heat but there’s no need to pack a nine
Full clip of equations and you’re packin your TI
You could be like all the other kids out wasting time
But we’re in this for the long haul – together
