Ok, so now you should know what you want, what you really really want. You may feel like, wow Gemma loves this goals topic, but it’s so crucial and I think not having that sharp and inspiring goal that the mind and heart now agree upon you’re setting yourself up for
confusion
frustration
distraction
and failure on the wrong lifeline, sucks.
You are a pilot who has now set the coordinates from your current situation to your desired situation. Now it’s time to calmly and patiently go long haul.
Having clarified our heart & mind coordinated goals we still don’t have a home run yet in terms of quietly taking what is yours. What do I mean by this? Well once you’ve figured out what’s yours, it’s a done deal. Seriously.
Count those chickens
This is another reason why spending a long time working on the right lifeline/path for you is everything. I need you to know this. It’s yours now and I need you to accept that. As soon as you doubt that you will derail yourself from the reality in which you get exactly what you want, which is yours. When we doubt ourselves we start following different paths out of fear. Commit, and be prepared for the following:
Time delay – it might happen quickly or take a long time, but you’re not Jesus so if it doesn’t all work out right away water to wine style that is not an indication that it won’t. Have patience and quietly take what is yours.
Temptations – other people, organisations, marketing and just other external forces in your life will try to convince you, in subtle and not so subtle ways, to do abort the plan. Put your blinkers on and quietly take what is yours.
Importance – the importance you place on the goal will destabilise you by creating excess potential through the feelings of doubt, desire and fear. Detach from the goal and quietly take what is yours.
Your world view and sense of worthiness – you need to give yourself permission to be the unique, special human being that you are, who deserves to have what they want from life and to quietly take what is yours.
Time Delay
Do you think I deserve to have what I want from life?
Do you think I think you should have what you want from life?
Ok, so it would be a bit mad if you didn’t think you deserve to have what you want from life.
Why should you not get what you want?
And it already exists. Based on the model of quantum physics the computer code for your desired reality is already written you just have to select it. And when you select it the final level, where you defeat the baddie and complete the game already exists if you stick it out, solve the puzzles and enjoy the process of playing the game.
That’s why it’s sooo important you select the right goal, the right video game to play. That’s what makes it fun and makes your life feel like an ongoing holiday. So accept that this is a process, a journey but the final level of the game in which you achieve your goal already exists you just need to play the game. It’s in the bag, count those chickens. Done deal, now play the game and get to end. And when you get to the end you’ll want to get the sequel or pick a new game.
Temptations
You’ve got precious energy in a world full of pendulums that want to take it from you. What the frick are pendulums. Don’t worry, I’m going to break this down.
A pendulum is anything that needs human energy to survive Examples:
political party or movement
a corporation or company
a social media network
a charity organisation
a college or university
the housing industry
religion
A pendulum is anything that has to do with you participating in a way that takes
money from you
energy from you
time from you
thoughts and ideas from you
Just as the swinging pocket watch pendulum hypnotises us so too do the pendulums in our life:
You need to wake to these and not allow them to capture your attention without feeling like a willing participant.
A really good example of an insidious pendulum ofcourse is your social media newsfeed. We open our phone to do one thing and the instagram app hyponotises you and will take your energy and time, thoughts, ideas and maybe you make a purchase, so your money too. But worst of all, it takes you away from your reality in which you’re pursuing your goals.
The more participants, the more instagram users the more energy the pendulum gains and the harder it swings. The more it swings the more powerful and hypnotic it gets and the more it makes you feel like you need it.
How does the pendulum lure you in?
It triggers you emotionally. And there is an exchange that occurs. And get something from it. We get to experience a state like
relief
safety
So you’ve got to examine this exchange that occurs between you and the pendulum
What benefit are you getting from this pendulum? Does the good outweigh the bad in the exchange? Is the pendulum getting more from you than you’re getting for it? Are you awake and aware or are you under its spell?
How to Wake-Up
Ok, so I have a really fun habit exercise that will help you break the spell of any pendulum that may have ensnared you in its swing. For the next week I want you to try this for me.
Every time, after you unlock your phone I want you ask yourself the following 3 questions:
Who am I?
Where am I?
What am I doing?
