Work is carrying on in earnest on two multi-million pound regeneration tasks in Clacton and Dovercourt, after endorsement from Tendring District Council’s (TDC) Cupboard.

At its assembly on Friday (23 June), Cupboard agreed to signal agreements with authorities to just accept £6.7million for a mission in Dovercourt, and draw down £250,000 from its personal £2.1m match-funding funds to start preparation works.

The £9m scheme in Dovercourt, which has cash from the federal government’s Capital Regeneration Initiatives fund in addition to TDC and Essex County Council consists of three smaller tasks.
